It is no secret to any regular reader of this here blog that we are insanely fond of The Mountain Goats.

Several of the reasons for that are apparent in this excellent live recording of a concert in Somerville, MA last March, available from 'bradley's almanac'.

I've had this loaded onto my MP3 player for a couple of months now, and it's been on what in an earlier age was known as 'heavy rotation'.
