Posh prickdom

How do I put this diplomatically (and non-actionably)?

I could comprehend the actions of someone who might (though via no encouragement from me or anyone else associated with this blog) wish to kick the head in of this particular individual, aka, Master Nicholas De Lacy Brown:

Not that I'm advocating any form of violence whatsoever. That's just plain wrong.

Have you seen his website? It's... awesome. I'm not sure where I put the URL; it was in a Grauniad blog yesterday.

Ah, here we are:

I'm...well, amazed and appalled. Which is an uncomfortable mixture.

The information is valuable. But the images...well, they'll not fade from my memory soon.

It's going to be a tough few weeks.

Anna Pickard has a screamingly funny stream-of-consciousness blog on the first episode and the follow up here: http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/organgrinder/2008/03/the_apprentice_series_four_epi.html

"We get to see a self-portrait Nicholas de Lacy Brown has painted of his time on the apprentice. It is him, tied to a stake with what looks very much like a glowing, spiky crown, with fish crawling up his suit leg. It's not a bad painting. I mean, I wouldn't buy it, or ever, really, want to look at it again. But it's not terribly executed. I've seen worse. Um. Sometime."

I can't stop laughing now. Anna P is the biz.

Thanks for that reference, Geoff, and Sharon, you're right that she captures his essential awfulness with great precision.

Sadly, it seems that most of the YouTube clips showing him in action are not available for viewing in our country. But the few bits we could see, along with the website and commentary, are perhaps...more than enough.

The only TV watching we do anymore (which is very little) is online. For instance, we've been enjoying 'Clark and Michael':
