And we have no idea where

This video of Iman al-Obeidi being silenced and taken away by Gaddafi's thugs is one of the most harrowing things I've seen in a while.



I, for one, want to know what happened to this woman.

If people didn’t already have an understanding of the routine apparatus of a totalitarian state, they have a rather graphic illustration now.

The brazenness of internal security actions in ‘managing the issue’ – itself an inherently personal story – in the presence of numerous western journalists (with cameras rolling) provides a starker demonstration than any number of ‘police actions’, riot squads or suppression of public dissent.

Really deplorable stuff.
