What's the British word for 'duh'?!

Apparently, 82% of British people questioned in a recent survey 'say they see religion as a cause of division and tension between people'.

I'm...less than astounded.

    The British word for "duh?" is "Oh really?".

    No it's not. "Oh really" is far too polite. It's more along the lines of "daft apeth" -- the etymology of which is explained here:

    Though, really, even daft apeth is still too endearing an idiom to equal this particular American grunt.
